DONE DEAL: NFF, Oliseh agree contract over Eagles coaching role
By Usman Abubakar

All things being equal, former Nigerian skipper Sunday Oliseh would soon be unveiled as coach of the senior national football team – the Super Eagles.
“An offer has been made, and there is understanding,” the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical committee said in a statement, Wednesday.
Oliseh is set to be unveiled as the coach of the team in a few days after details of the NFF’s offer are ironed.
“We have to work out the final details of the agreement in a few days,” the statement said.
“The Executive Board has to give approval for his appointment based on the final terms to be agreed.”
Oliseh is part of Nigeria’s golden generation of footballers. He was part of the team that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1994 and Olympic gold two years later.
He also played at the World Cup in 1994 and 1998, helping the Super Eagles to the last 16 at both tournaments and in the latter he scored a memorable winning screamer as Nigeria silenced Spain 3-2 in a group match.
He won 63 caps for Nigeria between 1993 and 2002, and now holds a UEFA Pro License. He coached Belgian lower division club, Vervietois, between 2008 and 2009.
Oliseh is expected to come up with a five–year developmental plan to fashion a unique playing and coaching philosophy for all the National Teams, and will for this purpose, interface regularly with coaches of those teams, TheNFF.Com reports.
He was offered the Eagles coaching job after Stephen Keshi was fired over alleged breach of contract.
Keshi has vowed to drag the NFF to court.
That notwithstanding, the NFF is expected to unveil Oliseh as the coach of the Super Eagles in a matter of days.
