Customs seizes N7m worth of smuggled goods
The Officers and Men of Nigeria Customs Service, Sokoto/Kebbi/Zamfara Command intercepted a trailer loaded with 135 bales of second hand clothings along Illela border station, Thursday, 7th January 2015.
Two suspects were arrested in connection with the smuggled goods.
The duty paid value of the seizure is estimated at N7 million.
“All those that are into these nefarious activities should desist from doing it otherwise soonest the officers of NCS will get them arrested and prosecuted accordingly” Musa Adamu, PRO of the command said in a statement.
