CLO accuses President Buhari for sponsoring Fulani herdsmen’s activities
The Civil Liberties Organization (CLO) has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of sponsoring the attacks of Fulani herdsmen in the country
The comment was made on the group’s behalf by Board of Governors member, Alhaji Danjuma Gambo.
Rambo said the Fulani herdsmen who was arrested by the police last Monday have been arrested before as he was the same Fulani herdsmen that attacked Nimbo four months ago, killing about 13 persons, burnt houses, raped women and children and also destroyed farmlands.
He went further to say that the five suspects arrested in the Nimbo massacre made confessional statements to the killings in Nimbo. the question remains if the investigation will take eternity when the same police said the suspects have made confessional statements?
‘The Inspector General of Police should account for the five suspects and tell us where they are four months after the investigation. Police in Enugu must tell us how the suspect got the sophisticated AK-47 rifle and also prosecute him to bring closure to these cases.’
He added that Buhari has never condemned herdsmen activities and his body language suggests that he sponsors their activities.
