Chelsea Trash Wolves In EPL Sunday Clash

Chelsea endured a nervy start at the Mollineaux stadium to record an emphatic win over Wolves in the Premier League

While Wolves put 2 past the Blues, it was Chelsea who ran out 6-2 winners away on Sunday.

Chelsea began the game in style with a 2nd minute headed goal from Nicolas Jackson off a Cole Palmer corner kick.

Nicolas Jackson was guilty of missing a couple of chances which would have put Chelsea ahead, with Wolves making them pay, scoring the equalizer in the 27th minute through Cunha.

Wolves threatened severally, even as Chelsea’s defence showed signs of frailty.

Chelsea went ahead, though, through a break just on the halftime mark, Cole Palmer lobbing the ball over the Wolves Goalie for an exquisite goal.

Just when Chelsea thought they were running away with a first half win, Wolves equalized, Larsen meeting a cross at the near post.

Following the first half draw, Chelsea came out for the second 45 the hungrier of the two teams.

Madueke put Chelsea ahead four minutes later, Cole Palmer providing the assist.

In the 58th minute, Madueke scored his second of the game, giving Chelsea a 4-2 lead.

The Blues were in full flight now and the duo of Cole Palmer and Madueke acting like Siamese twins, the former assisting the latter again for his hattrick in the 63rd minute.

Lermar thought he had pulled one back for Wolves, but the goal was chalked off.

Two minutes later, the Portuguese pair of Pedro Neto and substitute, João Felix, teeming up for the latter’s debut goal to make it 6-2 to Chelsea.

By this time, Wolves fans had seen enough and began trooping out of the stadium in their thousands, disappointed at the result.

Chelsea saw out the final exchanges to record a morale boosting win away from home after a loss to Man City in their first game.
