Celestial Church preacher arrested for “beating, robbing, raping prostitutes” in American hotels

If found guilty, a preacher accused of beating, robbing and raping escorts may spend the rest of his life in prison.
Gabriel Omogbo will answer to charges of attempted first degree murder, armed robbery, first degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
The 33 year old who preaches at the Celestial Church of Christ in the U. S., reports say, uses an online platform to broker prostitution deals with women.
Three attacks on escorts in a short period of time caught the attention of the police.
The first two happened at the Best Western Plus along W. Montgomery Avenue in Rockville while the third occurred at the Radisson Hotel along Research Court.
Investigators say Omogbo met an escort in a third floor hotel room shortly after midnight, WJLA reports.
Following a round of consensual sex, the 33-year-old emerged from the bathroom holding a kitchen knife, the report says.
According to the report, Omogbo ordered the woman to strip naked and then said, “You are going to die today.”
Omogbo allegedly beat the woman, cut her arms, legs and hands and stole her iPad, cell phone and $300 (about N60,000).
The odds seem to be against the CCC preacher as forensic technicians have collected DNA evidence from each of the hotel rooms.
In addition, the police is sure they have CCTV footage of a man which matches Omogbo’s description wearing blue jeans and brown loafers entering and leaving the hotels at the time of the attacks.
Omogbo, who also works as a security guard is being held at Montgomery County Correction Facility.
He will next appear in Montgomery County District on January 8, 2016..
