Bristow Group speaks on reported helicopter crash

We can authoritatively confirm that there’s an incident with a Bristow helicopter that disappeared off air traffic radar on Wednesday.
It’s, however, not clear whether the helicopter crashed into the Lagos lagoon as it’s being reported. At least that’s what Bristow wants us to know.
We put a call through to Bristow Group’s Lagos office and here’s what an official told NewsroomNG:
We have an incident but it’s not a crash. We are collating information on that and we’ll let the public know when we’re done. Could you please call us back?
So, according to Bristow, the helicopter didn’t crash.
Reports suggested the tragic saying the chopper may have crashed into the Lagos lagoon after disappearing of radar. That, according to reports, happened minutes after it took off from Murtala International Airport.
We don’t know the number of people aboard the aircraft. We also do not know if anyone’s injured in “the incident.”
We’ll keep you posted..
