Senegal Fire Coach Aliou Cisse
The Senegalese Sports Ministry has reached a decision to terminate the contract of Coach and Legend, Aliou Cisse.
The country’s football association confirmed that the decision to end the partnership was taken by the Sports minister, Khady Diene Gaye.
The decision comes even as Senegal prepare for two important 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Malawi in October.

The Senegalese FA says that an interim coaching team will be in-charge temporarily pending when a permanent successor is hired.

Cisse delivered the Africa Cup of Nations for Senegal in 2022.
He has also overseen the last two World Cups for the Teranga Lions.
Haven previously captained the national team, Cissee began his journey as Coach of Senegal’s national team in 2015.
Cisse’s Senegal team remain unbeaten in the 2026 World Cup qualifying rounds so far.
