Breaking: FG Announces Monday Holiday as Eid-ul-Mawlid Celebration

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday, September 16, 2024, as public holiday to observe the Islam celebration of Eid-ul-Mawlid.
This was announced on Friday by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement released by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr Magdalene Ajani.
Eid-ul-Mawlid is the remeberance of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.

The Minsister seized the opportunity to admonish muslim faithfuls in the country to show the good spirit of Islam in their day-to-day lives.
Tunji-Ojo also urged them to take the opporunity to pray for the progress of the nation at large.
