Council of States Passes Vote of Confidence On Tinubu’s Government

The Council of State has just passed a Vote of Confidence on the government of President Bola Tinubu, Neusroom have learnt.
The vote passed is a resolution reached during the Council meeting at the State House in Abuja.
The council of state comprises of Ex Presidents and Heads of state.

As an organ of the federal government, it is tasked with advising the Executive arm on policymaking.
In attendance at the meeting were Ex Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari.
Ex Heads of State, Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar, joined the meeting virtually.
The meeting is the first held since the President was sworn-in in May this year.
