Boko Haram: Female suicide bombers kill 11 in Borno explosions
By Bankole Jamgbadi

Two female suicide bombers have blown themselves, alongside 11 other people, to bloody shreds in Borno State of Nigeria.
The terrorists detonated explosives in separate attacks as unsuspecting fruit sellers and other traders haggled with buyers along Bama/Konduga Highway on Thursday.
“There was an explosion at Malari village along Bama/Konduga Highway on 2/7/15 (Thursday) at about 1400 hours,” Opadokun said, Friday. At least eight people died in that attack.
Another female suicide bomber killed herself and three other people along Allau Dam on the same highway.
No less than 20 people were reported injured in the separate attacks.
The attack comes barely 24 hours after 60 people were killed in an explosion in Kukuwa area of the state.
Terrorist group Boko Haram is expected to be blamed for the attacks.
Although the sect has been disowned by prominent Muslims, it still aims to turn Nigeria into an Islamic Caliphate.
The group angered the world when it abducted over 200 Nigerian schoolgirls from Borno last year. The Nigerian government is yet to liberate the girls.
Boko Haram activities have turned several places in Borno and other parts of Nigeria’s northeast to war zones.
It has also led to a spike in the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the country. There are over three million IDPs in Nigeria. No African country comes near that figure.
