Banana Island Murder: Police arraigns Danish man for killing wife, daughter

Peter Nielsen, the Danish national accused of killing his wife, Zainab Nielson and daughter, Petral Nielson, is set to appear in court today.

The police commissioner in Lagos Imohimi Edgal has directed that Nielsen be taken to court based on the findings of the Crime scene detectives, the preliminary autopsy report and the result of DNA analysis carried out by forensic experts.

The 53-year-old is facing charges of two counts charge of murder.

Police spokesperson, Chike Oti, said Nielson “would be taken to the Yaba Magistrate Court today 11th April, 2018, where the case would be mentioned and his trial for the offence of murder begins.

“Meanwhile, a duplicate copy of the murder casefile has been sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), for legal advice,” the Oti added.
