Assassins rape woman while husband watched, hack them both to death afterwards
Some men, believed to be assassins, on Saturday hacked a woman and her husband to death after having taken turns to rape her.
The men, witnesses say, stormed their victim’s house in the Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State on Saturday evening bearing cutlasses and other weapons.
They reportedly made the husband and their children look on while they abused the woman.
Having killed the couple, the assailants took off with their three kids.
“The couple were murdered and their three children were taken away and the police have made arrests of about three suspects, who are undergoing investigation,” Imo Police spokesman, Andrew Enwerrem, said confirming the incident.
He however could not confirm the couple’s name or the cause of the attack.
He added that the police were making efforts to rescue the abducted children safely..
