Arik Air: Angry passenger assaults airline official after “10-hour flight delay”
Video of an Arik Air official being attacked by an angry passenger has gone viral on social media.
The passenger wrestled the official to the ground after his flight was reportedly delayed for at least 10 hours.
Other passengers could be heard in the video urging the assailant on while they demanded a refund from the airline.

Arik Air, Nigeria’s largest carrier, is notorious for delaying flights. The airline was, late 2016, fined N6 million for abandoning passengers luggage at London’s Heathrow. Passengers also, later last year, slept overnight at Lagos Airport after their flight was reportedly delayed with no communication from the airline.
Nigerians are, on social media, reacting to the latest “Arik thing”. Some of them condemned the assault. Others shared past bitter experiences they had with the airline.
