APC rally ends in violence as Oshiomhole gets stoned in Ogun

The All Progressive Congress rally in Ogun state capital, Abeokuta was brought to an abrupt end as violence erupted halfway into the event.

Some aggrieved members of the audience became violent when Oshiomhole was called up to the stage to deliver a speech. The perpetrators who were believed to be hoodlums associated with a newly formed faction of APC, the Allied People’s Movement hauled stones at him and other leaders of the party.

The stone is reported to have missed President Buhari as one of his security operatives took a hit for him. The action angered the leaders of the party including Bola Tinubu.

It was at this point that Tinubu flinged away a flag belonging to APM, the newly formed faction of APC as he walked out of the podium while President Buhari was still speaking.

President Buhari was booed and interrupted severally during his speech. And when he presented Abiodun as the governorship candidate of the party in Ogun and asked for their vote, the crowd screamed ‘no’! He resorted to telling them to vote for any candidate of their choice on the day of election.
