The country’s health ministry made this known on Tuesday.
“26 individuals, including 23 protesters and three representatives of the ministry of internal affairs” — a reference to law enforcement officers — were taken to medical facilities after the protest on Monday.
“None of the injuries are life-threatening,” the Ministry disclosed.
Others injured, the Ministry says, are being medically supervised.
The political crisis that greeted the country’s election October grows everyday with pro-EU protesters now occupying the streets in their thousands to protest against the ruling Georgian Dream party.

After Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, announced, last week, that the government would halt talks on EU accession until 2028, protests have followed for 5 consecutive days.
The police in Georgia have persisted in using tear gas against protesters, with the protesters responding with fireworks.
Globally, Tbilisi is perceived to be responding to protests with brute force.
The United Nations (UN) believe that the law enforcement agaencies are not being used effectively.
