Actor dies from sword injuries sustained during rehearsal

Japanese actor, Daigo Kashino, is dead.

He died hours after sustaining an injury to his abdomen with a Samurai sword during a rehearsal on Monday.

According to local media reports, several actors were performing in an action scene together when Kashino was stabbed.

However, none of his fellow actors saw what happened. They found him hunched over and wounded after hearing him groan, a local television station reported.

It is not known whether the samurai sword was real or a prop, or whether it may have had safety features to prevent injury.

Investigation is ongoing to determine whether the death was criminal or accidental..
