7 commissioner nominees affirmed by Kano assembly
The Kano House of Assembly have confirmed seven nominees selected and sent by Governor Abba Yusuf for screening.
Those selected were to be screened before becoming members of the state executive council
Information gathered suggests that the screening lasted for about three and a half hours before being finally confirmed.
Prior to the plenary session, Kano House of Assembly speaker, Jibril Falgore, on Monday read the executive bill containing six nominees for screening and possible confirmation as commissioners in the state.
Nura Iro Ma’aji was also added to the initial nominees later on, as confirmed by Falgore.
Following the lengthy and tedious screening, those confirmed include former Chief of Staff, Shehu Wada Sagaji, who was relieved of his duty last Thursday alongside the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, who was dropped on health condition.
Other commissioners designated include Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, Gaddafi Sani Shehu, Ibrahim Wayya, Dr. Dahiru Hashim Muhammad, and Dr. Ismail Aliyu Dannaraya.
