28-year-old mother of two delivers five babies in Ibadan, needs financial aid

Sakirat Rasaq gave birth to one, two, three boys and two girls at special-care baby unit of the University College Hospital, Ibadan on Monday.
She already had two children, Umoor (5) and Mistura (3), with her husband.
Her husband, Alfa Yusuf Ewenje, 32, said they had known about the number of babies three months into the pregnancy.
“We realised that Allah was going to bless us with something special when my wife had a scan after three months of the pregnancy.
“At that point, we knew she was carrying five babies in her womb. After the scan was done, we went to Adeoyo State Hospital from Apete Medical Centre, Apete, Ibadan, where she first registered for antenatal care.
Although he expressed joy at the arrival of the babies, Ewenje, who is a full-time Islamic cleric, said he would need help to take care of his now large family.
“Though, I am greatly handicapped now because I only make a living out of my Quranic teaching class, I want well-meaning people to come to my aid.
“I am using this medium to appeal to the Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, and his wife, Florence, Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, and the Federal Government to come to my aid so that my joy won’t turn sour.”.
