2 oil thieves sentenced to 5 years imprisonment in Cross River
Two oil bunkerers, Tony Ochonogo and Efe Alex, have been sentenced to 5years imprisonment each without an option of fine.
Justice I. E Ekwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Calabar, Cross River State handed down the judgement on Monday (today).
The convicts, who were arrested by officials of the Joint Task Force in March 2013, were found in possession of a tanker truck loaded with 33,000 litres of petroleum products suspected to be illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).
