14-year-old JSS 3 schoolgirl drinks insecticide, dies after OPC lover allegedly threatens to disgrace her “for cheating on me”
Rafiu, 20, has disappeared into thin air.
He is believed to be a member of the notorious Odua People’s Congress (OPC) in Illorin, Kwara state.
Rafui’s “heartthrob,” a 14-year-old junior secondary school student of Burihanudeen UBE School, Isale-Koko Ilorin, is dead.
The teenage schoolgirl simply identified as Aishat reportedly killed herself on Thursday after Rafiu threatened to disgrace her at her backyard.
Her crime? Rafui said his schoolgirl lover was probably cheating on him, and threatened to deal with her if his suspicion proved true.
On Thursday, someone found Aishat somewhere, struggling for breath.
The schoolgirl was rushed to a private hospital where it was discovered that she had ingested a chemical substance designed for killing insects – an insecticide.
The teenage schoolgirl was later taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) where she was pronounced dead.
Aishat’s family is mourning.
The man she was allegedly having the extra affair with has been arrested.
Rafiu, her OPC lover, is nowhere in sight..
